You let the Posty app into your workspace, write the announcement, pick the channel and the time, and the message appears at the minute you set. You can schedule text and an image. #### How do I connect my Slack workspace? Clicking Slack opens Slack's own approval window, where you let the Posty app into your workspace. You can revoke access anytime on Slack's surface. #### Which channels can I write to? The app can join the workspace's public channels on its own, and private channels once you invite it there. You pick the target channel per announcement in the editor. #### Can I schedule an image to Slack too? Yes. Images attached from the media library appear under the text, in a separate block in the channel. If Slack rejects the send for any reason, Posty shows Slack's own error message, so it is not hidden what happened. #### Slack is for internal communication, why a scheduler here? Exactly because it is internal: the regular announcement is what drops off most often, because someone always has something more urgent. If it lives in the same calendar as your public content, it gets made the same way. #### Can Posty write into the thread too? Yes: Posty sends comments written on the post into the announcement's thread, not as a separate message in the channel. That way you can split a longer announcement into details, and the channel stays readable. You still reply to members' replies yourself, in Slack. #### What is the character limit for Slack in Posty? A Slack message's theoretical limit is around 4 000 characters, but in practice short, broken-up announcements work. The Posty editor shows you where you are as you type. #### How many announcements can I schedule at once? There is no upper limit. On Slack, though, less is more: one well-written weekly recap is worth more than three messages a day. #### Does Posty write copy for my Slack announcements with AI? No, and that is on purpose: Posty is the scheduler and the calendar, your own AI tool writes the copy. ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, OpenClaw, Hermes and Muse write and schedule the announcements directly into Posty over MCP or the public API. #### Does Posty have a Slack API? Yes. The public REST API (api.posty.hu) is part of the Pro, Kreátor and Csapat plans, so you can schedule Slack announcements from your own code too. Those same plans include the MCP server for AI agents.
