# FotoAI: images and videos in Posty

Connecting your own FotoAI account, generating from the media library and the editor, importing, and the same for agents.

## What is it?

FotoAI (fotoai.hu) makes images and videos from a description. Connect your FotoAI account to Posty and you can generate from Posty too, with your own FotoAI credits. The finished images and videos go into the Posty media library, ready for a post.

The connection is yours

The connection belongs to your Posty account, not to the workspace. The result always goes into the media library of the workspace you have open.

## Connecting

- Open the `FotoAI` card on the `Integrations` page, or the FotoAI row under `Settings`.
- Click `Connect`. On FotoAI, sign in or create a FotoAI account.
- Allow Posty to see your balance and to generate for you. You are then sent back to Posty.

You can also start from FotoAI: the Posty button on FotoAI's connected apps page leads to the same place.

## Generating in Posty

The `FotoAI` button is next to `Upload` in the media library and next to `Insert Media` in the post editor. Describe what you want, choose a model and an aspect ratio (and a length for a video). The price in credits and your balance are shown next to the button. The finished image goes into the media library; started from the editor, it is also attached to the post.

## Importing earlier images

On the `My earlier FotoAI images` tab of the panel you can bring in images you made on FotoAI before. On FotoAI, the Posty scheduling button of a finished image saves it into the media library and opens the post editor with it. The same image is never saved twice.

## Credits and prices

Generating uses your FotoAI credits, at FotoAI's prices. Posty charges nothing for it. The price is shown before you generate, and the generation cannot cost more than that. A failed generation costs no credits. You buy credits on FotoAI.

## For agents: API, MCP, CLI

An agent generates with the FotoAI account of the person who owns the key or the token. If that person has not connected FotoAI yet, the answer gives the address where they connect it.

The order: models, a quote, the user's approval, the generation with the `quote_id`, then the status. The finished result's`media[].path` goes into the post. Details are in the [API reference](https://posty.hu/en/api).

## Disconnecting

The `Disconnect` button on `Integrations` › `FotoAI`also withdraws the access on FotoAI. Images you already imported stay in the media library.
