## Post types

The same channel accepts more than one kind of post, and each kind has different requirements. The table shows what you need for each.

| Type | Media | Notes |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Video | 1 video, required | Title and visibility are required. They have no defaults. |

## Rules

- The title is required, and must be between 2 and 100 characters.
- You must set the visibility. There is no default.
- The combined length of the tags can be at most 500 characters. YouTube puts tags that contain a space in quotes, so it counts two extra characters for each of those tags.

## Settings fields

These fields go into the post's `settings` object, alongside the `__type` field. In the UI, you fill in the same ones in the channel's settings section.

| tags | array, each item { value, label } | no | Video tags, 500 characters in total. |

## Allowed values

The fields below only accept these values. Any other value returns a 400, and the response names the field.

### `type`

| Value | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| public | Public. |
| unlisted | Unlisted: only available via a link. |
| private | Private. |

### `selfDeclaredMadeForKids`

| Value | Meaning |
| --- | --- |
| yes | Made for kids. |
| no | Not made for kids. |

## Examples

Each example is one item in the `POST /public/v1/posts` request's `posts` array. The envelope around it is always this:
