What Publer does well

• The free plan can be used with no time limit, with three social accounts and ten scheduled posts per account. You can only connect an X account on a paid plan.
• It handles recurring and automatically reposted content thoroughly, including bulk CSV upload. Posty has recurring posts too, but no CSV import.
• The platform list is wide: besides the major social platforms it also handles Mastodon and WordPress. Posty has neither of those two.
• With one or two accounts the per-account pricing is a good deal. The Professional plan costs about $5 per account per month.
• Image editing is helped by Canva and VistaCreate integration, and the Chrome extension lets you save content while you browse. Posty has no browser extension.

When should you pick Publer instead?

If you manage one to three accounts, Publer can be cheaper, and the free plan is a solid way in. More arguments also sit on its side if you would generate copy or images with AI inside the product, or if you need bulk CSV import or a Chrome extension. Posty comes out ahead with more accounts and a fixed plan price, and if you would manage the calendar with your own AI agent. The Hungarian interface and the VAT invoice in forints are a practical extra on top.

• A fixed price up to ten accounts. The Pro plan is 8 990 Ft a month, with ten social accounts and unlimited posts. At Publer the same is about $45 a month, because you pay per account. After every ninth, the tenth account is free.
• Full agent control. From the Pro plan you also get an MCP server, a public REST API, webhooks and the posty CLI, with a skill file. Your own AI agent can then write, schedule, move or cancel the post.
• More built-in creation tools. Besides the media library you get your own image editor, video editor and UGC templates. Publer uses Canva and VistaCreate integration for images, and has no video editor or UGC templates.

Does Posty have an AI copywriter and image generation?

No. We took both out on purpose, because we did not want to build in a middling model and produce the same posts. Publer AI Assist generates both copy and images. With Posty you connect your own model through MCP, the API or the CLI instead.

Which platforms do Posty and Publer support?

The two lists largely overlap, and both handle Telegram too. Posty also has Discord and Slack. Publer has Mastodon and WordPress. Posty handles 12+ social platforms from one editor in total.

Can I bring my scheduled posts over from Publer?

There is no direct, automatic import. You upload the media to the media library, paste the copy, then place the posts in the calendar. With many posts, count on more hand work, because Posty does not handle bulk CSV import either.

Why should I pick Posty over Publer?

With more accounts the fixed plan price can be better, and you can post without a cap on every plan. From the Pro plan, MCP, the API, the CLI and webhooks connect your calendar to your own AI agent.
