Where to find it
Settings is not in the left-hand menu. Click the profile button in the bottom-left corner to access it, along with Billing and the option to sign out.
| Tab | What it contains |
|---|---|
| Profile | Name, profile picture, email address, password, account deletion. |
| Developers | API key, MCP key, ready-to-use client configurations. Available on the Pro plan and above. |
| Authorized apps | Third-party apps you have given access to your account, with the option to revoke that access. |
Profile
Your name and profile picture are only shown in Posty. This is what your teammates see next to you. They are not sent to social platforms, which show the connected account's own name and profile picture.
Changing your profile picture opens the same media library you use for posts.
Changing your email address
- 1Enter your new email addressOn the Email Address card on the Profile tab.
- 2Enter your current passwordThis prevents someone from taking over your account with a compromised session alone.
- 3Confirm the change from your new email addressYour account remains inactive until you click the link in the email sent to your new address.
Accounts created through Google don't have a password. Signing in with an email code also removes any existing password. In either case, the password field does not appear because there is no password to check. This is not a bug.
Once changed, your account is linked to the new address, and you can't sign in with the old one. If you mistype the new address and can't access that inbox, you'll be locked out of your account. Enter the new address twice before saving.
Password
You can change your password from the Profile tab. If you forget it, the Forgot password link on the sign-in page sends a new reset link. This only works for accounts created with an email address and a password.
Authorized apps
This is where you see the third-party apps you have granted access to your Posty account through OAuth, and where you can revoke their access. Revocation takes effect immediately: the app's token will no longer work on its next request.
The OAuth apps page covers this in more detail.
Deleting your account
The Delete all my data button is at the bottom of the Profile tab. It requires two confirmations because deletion cannot be undone.
- All posts, drafts, and calendar entries are deleted.
- All connected channels are disconnected.
- Everything in the media library is deleted.
- Analytics and history are deleted.
We do not delete posts already published on the social platforms. They remain there, and you need to delete them on each platform. We also do not cancel an active subscription automatically. Cancel it on the Billing page before deleting your account.
If you have a question specifically about your personal data, see the Data deletion guide and the Privacy policy for details.
