Opening Studio
Studio is Posty's editor. There are three ways to open it. They all take you to the same screen:
- click the
New postbutton in the left menu (on mobile, use the orange button in the middle), - click a time slot in the calendar, with the time already filled in,
- click the
Edit in Studiobutton on an existing post.
Layout
| Part | What it does |
|---|---|
| Channel selector, at the top | Select which channels the post will be published to. |
| Editor, in the middle | The shared text and each channel's version, organized in tabs. |
| Toolbar above the editor | Add media, edit images and videos, add a signature, or link to a previous post. |
| Channel settings, in a collapsible section | Platform-specific fields: title, visibility, board, channel. |
| Preview, on the right | Shows how the post will look on each channel. |
| Footer | Date, repeat settings, tags, and save buttons. |
Selecting channels
A post can go to several channels but still appears as a single post in the calendar. This is called a group. If you delete it, it is deleted from every channel.
If you use client groups, Select client lets you select that client's channels in one step.
Sets
When you open Studio, it offers any sets you have saved. A set is a saved starting point: selected channels and text you do not have to recreate. Continue without a set opens an empty editor. See the Sets and signatures page.
Saving
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
Add to calendar | Schedules the post. We publish it at the time you set. |
Save as draft | Saves the post without publishing it. It will not go out until you schedule it. |
Save set | Saves the selected channels and text as a starting point. |
If you have entered anything, you will be asked to confirm before closing. Your content will be lost when you close the editor. For longer text, save a draft and continue editing from there.
